I'm Paul Păștean 👋🏻
Product Designer delivering user-friendly solutions in e-commerce, enterprise, and defence. I'm skilled at end-to-end UI/UX Design, User Research, Prototyping and Design System Management with a strong background in Cognitive & Consumer Psychology.
I can work with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro. Pen & paper just as well.
FYI, at first I wanted
to be a Judge 🧑🏻⚖️
When I was but a small child, perhaps due to my upbringing, I had an obsession with justice and correctitude.
A way of bringing this vision to life that would also secure me a living was to pursue a degree in Law and strive to become a Judge.
After getting my baccalaureate degree(2019) and being rejected from the University of Bucharest, I went down a rabbit hole of exploration and started dabbling with UX/UI Design on my own.

Then I worked in marketing 🛍️
COVID came and I had to stay at home later that year, which afforded me the chance of trying different skills:
I tried coding, dabbled a bit with illustrations and then a friend of mine, who was new to marketing at the time introduced me to this field.
It was a great opportunity to apply my psychology knowledge, learn how to drive insights from data and design websites and visuals that would sell.
But I got good at UX Design instead👨🏻🔬
Since then I had worked on web and mobile apps, enterprise and e-commerce projects and learned a few things about what works and what doesn't.
To this day, I apply insights from psychology in my designs and have a strong enthusiasm for systems, data and solving complex problems.
